(More customer reviews)Great original equipment parts. Arrived exactly as promised, a day earlier than I expected. I accidentially bumped and broke a send/receive unit. Linear makes it impossible to "jump" or otherwise get around replacing the safety beam unit. A local door repair guy wanted well over a hundred bucks to come out and do it. I removed the broken part, straitened the bracket, installed the new unit all in less than ten minutes. All the parts were there. I'm not mechanically inclined. I wish you could just buy one replacement beam, but no such luck. I'll save the other in case I get clumsy again. Don't be afraid, order it and do it yourself!

(More customer reviews)I got this product a while back and once set up it worked for about nine months to a year and then for whatever reason, it just stopped working.I tried replacing the battery in the sensor and this didn't work.After resetting and moving the base unit closer to the sensor it appeared to work.However, its required resetting approximately every 3 months from that point on, so go figure.

(More customer reviews)My garage door sensors, after several years, have failed to work properly.I asked for a repair quote and was told it would cost more than $80 to repair and that was if they ran into no complications.I decided the proposed charges were excessive and chose to change out the sensors myself.

To install, cut the wires from the old sensors and remove from their mount.Save the mounting bolts as none are included with the safety beam sensor kit.Splice the wires and connect to the new sensors using the supplied crimp connectors.Align the sensors using the alignment indicator lights.Then throw away the old sensors.

For me purchasing this lit and spending about 15 minutes in the garage is well worth the savings.If you are a do-it-yourselfer, perhaps this kit is for you too.PRO:

They work like the originals
