(More customer reviews)This was a genuine Genie replacement part.Worked perfectly for my door opener.Genie makes two different models, ones that have a physical stopper or limiter and another that uses a magnetic device to slow then stop the door movement.
If your model is the excelarator model(uses the magnet) then this is the carriage you need to order.

I know several have complained these things should last forever, well they don't.This is the main item that breaks on the screw drives and takes all of 5 minutes to replace.Mine lasted 7 years on a 2 car width door and only broke when my wife did not pull up all the way and closed the door on her truck.My single door opener has never given us any problem.Keep the track lubed and I dare say you get 10 to 15 years before you see a carriage go out.

(More customer reviews)After over 20 years, the limit switch gave out on my Genie garage door opener.Could not find the switch in any of the usual stores I shop at.Gave Amazon a try and they had the switch.Ordered 2 right away as the limit switch is on both ends of the rail that the track runs on.Replaced only the broken switch and it still works great after more than 6 months.Had absolutely no problems with the vendor and it arrived quickly.It was the exact same part number as the part it replaced.

I was so impressed that when the second opener needed replacement I bought another Genie.I just finished installing it.

Since we really didn't want to purchase a new door opener, we took a chance this was the part that needed replacement. It was exactly what we needed and works great!
