The main vertical mitered frame bit (large bit) disintegrated ( carbide blew apart) only after (6) 8 foot long poplar boards were cut..I have never seen a carbide bit shatter from cutting new clean freshly planed wood before. I knew something was wrong because my table mounted router motor suddenly was vibrating badly so I stopped the routing and looked at the bit and sure enough it has a section of carbide missing on one wing of the cutters ( was running great until this).. I am just starting to cut the frames for 30 doors for a kitchen cabinet job and now have to order another bit after only 6 frames were cut. Hope the next one lasts longer than this and I really wish it was made of American high grade carbide but at this low price I guess this is what you get.

This versatile carbide tipped router bit allows you to create dramatic rail and stile doors, picture or mirror frames, chair rails, crown moldings or other decorative trim. Combine this bit with any raised panel router bit to create highly decorative raised panel doors that until now have only been available through high end cabinet shops. Use a 1/4" slot cutter to create the slot for the raised panel or a rabbeting bit to make glass panel doors, mirrors or picture frames. The stock is mitered at 45 degrees, glued and biscuit joined to create a sturdy secure joint. Mitered Door Frame Bit is designed to work with 2-1/2" wide stock and a recommended thickness of at least 3/4" in a 1/2" table mounted router. Mitered Door Frame Bit is 1-1/2" Large Diameter and 2-1/2" Carbide height. Also Includes 1/4" Slot Cutter, 5/32" Slot Cutter for #11 Biscuit Slots, and 100 pieces #11 Wood Biscuit. All Bits are 1/2" Shank.
